#iTS The Sketch Dump

A place where members and myself can just upload their artwork and share knowledge with one another. If there are any subjects that you are having trouble with, make a thread, share your strife and perhaps we can smooth out the wrinkles. A good incentive I might implement is to start doing fair contests that exploit growth and not skill.
..my thanks to you for
stopping in and continuing
to create and inspire.

Please continue to research more on them, and I hope I've helped you a bit. I hope you will find one that is most suitable for you! Thank you for your reply CHARLE =)! I was able to apply for a cintiq 13... now I hope the support is approved on the next months!
cintiq companion HD for 385 dlls
cintiq 13HD DTK1300 for 298 dlls
cintiq 22HD DTK2200 for 1131 dlls
these prices if the application is approved, and having in consideration that tablets are a lot more expensive were I live, the prices normally going double than the costs in the USA
I've used drawing tablets, but just the Intuos pro type in a workshop for a month last year, I've found the flow quite natural as I've used the same drawing/design programs before, and have been drawing traditionally for a long time... also I'm left handed, but I don't think that can be a problem
I'll appreciate a lot any advice! Thank you ó⌣ò !
Hello fellow left hander! :) Sorry if this reply is late; I barely saw your comment. I own an Intuos 4, and have used Intuo 5 and a number of Cintiq at my school (or from friends) multiple of times. Before we narrow down your options, ask yourself whether you want something more portable or not (since most of their tech specs are the same or slightly different). Here are some major differences of each model:
Cintiq 22HD is very huge and would be ideal stay in one place (to use alongside with a desktop). It definitely works with a laptop too, but when traveling it would very inconvenient to carry a 25.6 x 15.7 inch mega drawing tech with your laptop. It comes with a Grip Pen.
Cintiq 13HD and Cintiq Companion are in the same portable size of 14.8 x 9.8 inches! Their drawing tablet specs are technically the same as the Cintiq 22HD, and are just smaller versions of it. Both of them come with the Pro Pen. The major difference is that the Companion is also a Windows operating tablet. They have a 256 GB or 512 GB storage option. So Companion is basically a 2-in-1 electronic.
For Intuos, I personally prefer the medium and small size since it's less stressful on my wrist. For Cintiq, I would want to eventually buy a larger/largest Cintiq since I like to work on big screens and it's easier for me to touch up finer details. I'm also a desktop kind of person so I don't move around to cafes/library/etc to work on my art (I know a lot of people likes to not work at their homes though).
Please continue to research more on them, and I hope I've helped you a bit. I hope you will find one that is most suitable for you!

and yeah I know, but when I was in school I spent so much more time on drawing and stuff and getting feedback from another artist/my teacher. Drawing went.. easier than as it now is. maybe I should just try to find some info on the internet to improve I dunno. or try to doodle/sketch more even though the result ain't much. also still got a list with drawing ideas.. guess I should take a look at that x3
Well I have a wealth of information at my fingertips. If you have questions, feel free to make a thread about it so we can all learn and get better. If you don't ask, you won't know... if that's how that saying goes. I'm trying to think up multiple contest ideas to get people sketching. One idea is already down. I need a few more before I start trying to get prizes. And I don't even want to mention that right now until I get the extra cash to shell out for a good one that'll get even people who don't draw to draw. lmao
And you don't need to go to school to be professional. The system is just there so that you have the routine of studying consistently. You can do that at home. :]
I don't mind if you make a sketch log for Dec. 2013. Just title it the same fashion as the others. ^^ But you should draw something for this months.
Mmmh, could do that, since my scanner kinda screwed up that sketch 'cuz it was too light.

Anyway, sort of got the time to finally post some art, but I noticed just now that my latest sketch was in mid december.. so that one actually doesn't fit in the sketchlog x3 also not sure if I should just post older artwork here in the commentsection or maybe rather adding a thread where we all can show our past artworks?
Why not redraw it for the current month?

Ah well, that's what you get when having no selfesteem ^^" though I really wish to improve, but since I graduated from highschool (3,5 years ago) I haven't followed any artclasses. so I also didn't learn any new technics or gotten any assignments, therefore haven't improved my skills since then and I'm having a hard time getting inspiration =(
