Telephone Card Collectors!
EccmyEccmy6 l. temu
Like post stamps, those useful little cards can have pretty art, and some can be printed in limited quantities, making them collector and collectible items.
Do you like Japanese telephone cards? Do you like collecting them? Then, this club is for you!

------------

The telephone card used as the club's icon is ITEM #192032. Welcome to the café club! :p

JohnnyGat6 mies. temu#72897027I've had Zenmarket and Buyee both mention that telekas "may be from restricted categories" but Buyee has let me purchase them and ZM have flat out said that I can't order them at all when I asked for an unblock request! I've noticed they've been a restricted category for almost 2 years now with Zenmarket (after using FromJapan as my main proxy years ago until they got super expensive, now ZM is my go to! their fees make the added UK customs charges a lot more bearable oOF, and I've only started using Buyee super recently for items from Mercari!) but wasn't sure if there was actually a specific reason for the restriction >o<
Thanks for the info!
This is super weird, I too am surprised. I don't see why Zenmarket (which I never used as a proxy, BTW, so I can't speak about them) would restrict telephone cards.
I mean, it's not like they've got some things prohibited from international mail like lithium batteries for example inside them. If they were like French telephone cards which have an electronic chip inserted in them, then maaaaaaybe, but Japanese cards don't even have them.
Sorry for being unable to help!

Eccmy6 mies. temu#72895883Proxies now restrict on buying telephone cards? That's news to me.
Granted, it's been since around 2016 I've stopped using proxies so...
(I'm buying less telekas now. I buy them mainly from Mandarake nowadays, and some of my Japanese friends offer me some cards from time to time).
May I ask which proxies you've had this happen to you?

JohnnyGat6 mies. temu#72712661Heyo! I'm not sure if this question has been answered anywhere (I've tried all over google with every variation of name and spelling orz) but does anyone know the reason why some proxies restrict buying Telecas? I wouldn't be surprised if it was because of the more raunchy ones lmAO;; but I've only been after official Space Channel 5 and NiGHTS ones so they're SFW! :O Figured this group would be one of the best places to ask ;v;~

AltNacht0089 mies. temu#66682871Does anyone have any of the Chichinoe Teleca?
Very unlikely you'll find anyone here having such goods. There are very few teleka collectors at MFC to begin with. You're better off stalking Yahoo Auction Japan / Surugaya / Mandarake / Lashinbang if you wish to get them.

Eccmy1 r. temu#46843083Hmmm... Just like figures, the closer the item is from its original state, the more valuable it is, so yes, a same teleka with its original cardboard display has more collectible value than without.
That said, if the cardboard display-less teleka has a special feature, such like having been signed by a celebrity related to the teleka's franchise (for example, say, a Fate Testarossa teleka signed by her Japanese voice actress Nana Mizuki), it'd very probably be much more valuable than a complete, but signless teleka.

Thanks for the opinion. Is nice to know in regards to some of the more expensive Teleka's. Might buy a mini clear file holder to store any that come with a display then instead of tossing it.

Falter1 r. temu#46808872So as a collector you would value the one with the cardboard display more personally? If so, is that only in the case of it having unique art or just because that is how it original came?

Eccmy1 r. temu#46804853Ah ok, now I see. You actually meant "cardboard display" by "mount".
Yeah, really strange, the one with the cardboard display should have been the one with the higher price, not the reverse. Must be either a mistake, or as you said, different physical Surugaya stores with their own pricing.
Back then I used FromJapan to get telekas from auctions and the like, but I had a fallout with their shitty customer service who stalled me in refunding me a very expensive EMS shipping of a figure that arrived damaged, so I've boycotted them since.
I've slowed down in getting telekas since a while ago, so I haven't searched for a new proxy, and currently my main source for telekas is Mandarake.
