  • Yeah, it's been a year since I paid Kaworu and Shinji nendoroids and still no hopes of them being shipped. Now I look at the pictures and I don't feel the excitment I felt when they were announced, I don't even find them cute anymore and hearing some of the nendos had problems makes me this close to cancel. Doesn't help I had a nendo disappoinment earlier this year so... I fell out of love really hard! T.T

BuyMyFigs1 mies. temu#101268011Heck yeah I've lost interest in many figures before they arrived. I've let so many figures just cancel on Amiami and GSC because after waiting a year for them to release, I just didn't want them anymore. And that was even before COVID and the crazy delays.
As for waiting for items to ship and losing interest, that's happening a lot with GSC's US store. Stuff that came out months ago and people have in hand I'm not even getting delay notification emails on anymore. Many of them are in stock on the GSC Global website, so I'm tempted to cancel them and just repurchase them there so I can actually get them BEFORE losing complete interest in them.

As I was saying down below, their shipping wait times at the moment can be horrendous, so I wouldn't. :(

I don't preorder often so I don't really have this issue, but I think it would sour me more on the manufacturing company than the item itself (or the postal company if that is the cause). I also have a problem with being unable to decide my feelings on a figure (which version I want, whether I even want it, etc) until I have it in hand, so I never lose hype before it arrives.

i think i can relate! if it takes me a lot of effort to get a certain figure, i'll already have spent so much time on it and then when it finally arrives it already feels like old news. like i'll already have spent so many irritated hours thinking about it and looking at it online, all the new and specialness has worn off already, such a shame really,

I understand the wait time + shipping really dampen the excitement.

Many figure are really impulse pre-orders.
After waiting forever, I lose interest.
And one of the shop I uses expect up front payment for pre-orders, so no cancellation. I am treading very carefully with that particular shop's order.

Also, I have figures released that are stuck in the JP warehouse due to the fact there are no shipping option to my country unless I go with courier (which is a NO due to the pre-clear service fee courier charges). This won't change until JP post resume service. Yep, my country don't even get Snail SEA MAIL from Japan.

For this particular snow miku nendoroid.

I thought GSC-US had a lot of excess from early release?
I got an email in April from GSC-US saying they found some stock and they have shipped her right away.

Judging from the date (very late) of my order, I assumed most people was getting an upgrade to early release.
I wonder how GSC-US decided who gets the excess?

OceanRoost1 mies. temu#101227241That's so weird hearing about this delay! I ordered mine from their international site (I'm in the US) and got mine two months ago! I've never used the US only shop but after hearing about this I probably wont touch it. Did they even tell you what caused the delay?
Honestly I don't plan using the US shop after this so yeah don't touch it lol. And nope! They just said the general covid thing which I don't believe since everyone else who ordered somewhere else (like yourself) has gotten their figure.

Well the problem is the fact it seems to take longer and longer for figurines to release.

There is on average at least 6 months between preorder and release.. and then it still has to be shipped.

Sometimes I buy here in my own country which fortunately has a few good anime/hentai etc sites like Archonia or otakusquare and such that are all based here in the Netherlands or Belgium for example.

But like 99% is a preorder, which I just have to hope releases early next year..
By that time I could actually have moved houses lol.

    I'm primarily just venting but;
Regarding shipping with GSC, I'm in Australia and they have been terrible with shipping. I ordered the Caterina Claes and Chika nendoroid, both supposed to come out in March I think, and they still haven't shipped them! All up I have seven nendoroids on preparing shipment, the latest one meant to ship out in June.
It's actually made me really frustrated, and and the most recent Good-Smile Company things I have ordered have all been through Ami Ami. (Ami Ami has no problem shipping out on time.)
The worst part is that they have sent me some things! I have one half of a nendoroid couple and nendoroid doll clothes despite not yet having the nendoroid dolls!
So yeah Idk what you will get from this, but GSC's shipping is stuffed.

chachachow1 mies. temu#101227215I honestly can't relate to this feeling of falling out of love due to figure delays. Rather, I double down on chasing after them and think about them constantly when the topic of collecting comes up.
If you don't want her anymore, I'm more than happy to take over your preorder for you and send over the money now!
I’ll probably end up keeping her since I still would like to grow my Snow Miku Nendoroid collection in the future (I’m excited for 2022’s (hopefully she won’t get delayed like this one!))
