I just felt like showing appreciation to my favorite figures in my collection, so I went ahead and took some new photos of them and ordered them from my least favorite to my most favorite.

Keep in mind this is not an objective top 10 list at all. This is a personal top 10 list from a personal collection of scale figures. This hobby is about making personal choices anyway.

Alright, let's do this!

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraKamina from Gurren Lagann, by Emontoys
ITEM #540469

One of my favorite guys in anime got a wonderful treatment by Emontoys here! Not only is he very well scupted and painted on the face and on his cape, but he is also striking a wonderful pose very representative of him! But not only that, mind you, but he's also very customizable for a scale figure! You can put him his cape or not. You can hand him a sheathed katana or an unsheathed one, and you can put him his signature shades or not! That's a deal of customization I usually don't expect on a scale figure, so that's great!

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraAsuka Shikinami Langley from Evangelion 3.0, by Alter
ITEM #186848

My first Alter figure, actually, and it's the 2019 re-release. Glad I hopped on the Alter train, because they definitely nailed Asuka's Eva 3.0 movie appearance on this one! It helps that she's also my favorite Asuka in the franchise. That hat and that jacket look wonderful on her! There's also some good customization, with having her with or without the hat, and her left hand being posed accordingly. I've heard about the 2019 re-release having her hat much lower than her previous version, and I agree. I saw those pics. However, she still looks amazing!

Also she got good assets.

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraKanan Matsuura from Love Live Sunshine!!, by Alter
ITEM #645454

Of course, the previous one wasn't going to be my last Alter figure, far from it! I'll be honest with you guys, I fell into idol hell in 2019, and this figure was just me getting started with Love Live figures. Kanan is one of my best girls in the whole franchise, because, let's face it, she's sexy. Not only that, but she knows it, hence why she made that pose to begin with. This figure can't get more Kanan than it did, with the amazing paint job and sculpt all around! I'm just a bit less of a fan of the transparent base, though.

But at least she has an interesting interactive component between her hands.

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraRaphtalia from The Rising of The Shield Hero, by Kotobukiya
ITEM #806092

I really like Raphtalia! She was the reason I started watching that anime to begin with. She was an adorable racoon-girl through and through.

Koto made her justice with this new figure! She has one of the best poses I've seen on a figure like this! You can tell she's ready for battle! I also really like the well-modeled balloon monster she's stepping on. It's like they did that creature as good as they could as well!

You can also choose between her classic sword or the illusion sword shown later in the anime. They both look great! However, I went with the normal one.

Her face could've looked a bit more expressive, however.

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraRem & Ram from Re:Zero, by Souyokusha
ITEM #806049

My first impression of these characters when I saw them in the anime. That's literally their first pose, as they jumped like this being afraid of their rescued guest waking up suddenly. They literally took that pose and faithfully immortalized it into a 1/7 piece of art.

Rem had been a wonderfully written character in Re:Zero, and Ram happened to be her also very adorable twin sister. I love Rem, but I can't imagine her without Ram existing. This is why this had to be my first Re:Zero figure. It's wonderful!

Their hair look a bit transparent, though. Especially when you look at their foreheads.

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraKatou Marika from Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace, by MegaHouse
ITEM #186125

Marika... what a gosh dang well-designed space pirate anime girl! She looks adorable, and her pirate costume goes so well on her, it makes her look like a badass cutie! Her voice was also amazing to hear in the anime. She's basically one of my best girls ever! She also was almost my first anime figure ever, as a Nendoroid, at some point.

But then I'm glad I got scale figures of her, both from the series and the movie. This one is from the movie, and I picked this one for the list since it looks way better than the other one. It faithfully captured everything I love about the character! The base is also quite unusual, being inclined this time, showing the logo of her pirate spaceship. It looks badass! Only little issue I have is the pole at the back to hold her cape in the air. It makes the whole figure big and cumbersome to install.

#4 & #3
Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraYuigahama Yui & Yukinoshita Yukino from My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected, by Souyokusha
ITEM #331680
ITEM #331681

The Yui one... I think it was the first time I actually fell in love with an anime figure. I'm not kidding! I came across pictures of her and boom! Had her in my mind for a while. I ended up watching the anime to get to know more about her.

But in the end, I preferred Yukino. Funny, right?

These were my introduction to kimono figures. They made me realize how well-executed kimonos can make girls look so damn elegant and smooth! They melt my heart each time I see them! Like... I just LOOOOOOOOOOVE them, you know!

Yui is #4 and Yukino is #3 in this case. I prefer the Yukino one not just because of the girl, but also because that umbrella goes SO well with her, it makes her look majestic!

Can't wait to see what they're gonna do with Isshiki Iroha! ITEM #806303

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraKasane Teto from her song Yoshiwara Lament, by Good Smile Company
ITEM #617147

Wow... just wow... just WOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! WHAT A MASTERPIECE THIS IS! Good Smile outdid themselves with that one!

Take the elegance and smoothness that comes with well-executed kimono costumes, as I said before, as well as her face, and add FREAKING RAINBOWS on it! By far the most colorful figure I own so far! Also the details are INSANE for a figure like this! Tons of strands spinning around her, and a wonderful pattern on her kimono! The twin drills are also my favorite hairstyle on anime girls, so yeah, this is it. This is the best female figure I own right now!

Pokaż zawartość spoileraUkryj zawartość spoileraKenshiro from Fist of The North Star, by Prime 1 Studio
ITEM #567460

Okay, okay... If you've read some of my previous blog articles, you knew this was coming. But I can't help but continue to freak out on this PURE WONDER of a polystone statue!

This monster beast of a statue is proudly displayed in my living room on its own table! This is a separate category of scale figures due to how premium this is! The faithfulness of the reproduction? Top notch! The details? Almost microscopic! The base? Massively striking! This is it! This is THE Kenshiro figure for FoTNS fans who can afford it! Sadly, a premium figure comes at a premium price.

Woah, man, I got real excited writing this article. This feeling confirmed me that collecting anime scale figures was a good choice of hobby for me! I'll keep collecting as long as I can! Thanks for reading!

Your #1 figure is incredible! I can see why he costs an arm and a leg. I think I should add that Teto figure in my wishlist since she turned out beautiful. (˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈) Usually I am not big into red and green combinations, but I am glad GSC didn't over due it.

ITEM #617147 is one of my favorites as well, she turned out absolutely gorgeous! GSC definitely did not disappoint. I'm hoping ITEM #617149 turns out just as beautifully

I remember when I first joined MFC, you had just gotten your grail (ITEM #567460) and I was so excited to read along with you. I'm so glad you still love it!

I have a few favorites on this list. I had really wanted to get ITEM #806049 when it was first coming out, and I have to say they are so beautiful. I feel like Ram is widely forgotten, but you can't have one without the other! I like how their hair is translucent. ITEM #617147 is just gorgeous ... I mean, the detailing on her kimono is spot on. And, of course, ITEM #540469 is super cool. I love how many display options he has.

Awesome post!
