Komentarze I HATE EVERYTHING BUT EMS

  • I always use SAL small packet or SAL since it's cheaper than EMS, and I heard EMS can sometimes get hit with a customs fees here in the United States and never had that yet with SAL. Most of the time SAL takes around two weeks but sometimes it goes over 3 weeks.

Lewty7 mies. temu#74121090Import tax is above 150€, not 22 as you claim, that's the start for VAT.
You're right, thanks for clearing it up!

I live in Ontario and yeah, SAL is usually pretty bad going through Canada Post. It always seems to takes a month at least for anything to arrive, and I've also found that CP usually doesn't provide tracking for registered SAL either. I've never been hit with customs via SAL, but I also tend to avoid using it whenever possible.

EMS is reliable and fast, but it's usually pretty expensive (20$ minimum I find). However, I've found that as a cheaper alternative to EMS, Airmail is a great option. It's generally slightly more expensive than SAL, but still usually gets delivered in about a week or less (even with unregistered). Unfortunately a lot of stores don't offer it for whatever reason, but it's a great option if available.

Yet I buy a $40.00 skirt from the US and I get charged a $20 customs fee? o.o I genuinely don't understand CP 99% of the time.

Actually, its not CP at fault here though. Usually, their costs for clearing customs is very small. The real bad ones are UPS and FEDEX. They charge you quiet a large fee for clearing customs.

Wow, my first thought while reading is how on earth did you escape customs with EMS? About 10 years ago, I got my packaged via EMS with no customs. However, in recent times, every EMS package I have gotten has got dinged with customs.

Damn, it really sucks to live in a 3rd world country. 1 month for me waiting a package arriving is luck, there are times that it takes 2, 3, even 5 or 6 months to arrive depending on the shipping option. EMS here is "fast" like 10 to 15 days, since customs tend to analyse better the packages, plus, there are import fees which are 100% of the product value (yeah, if i pay 200 dollars in a figure and it is declared as 200 dollars i pay 2 figures, 1 for me and 1 for the state, oh, and the taxes include shipping too).

I almost always use SAL for my orders - unless forced to use EMS due to size/weight etc. However, I personally don't mind waiting 4-7 weeks for my orders to come in. I think I might be lucky here - knock on wood - because I have never been charged customs for my AmiAmi & Mandarake orders. It sounds like a frustrating situation, and I am sorry you had to deal with all that. Hopefully things look up for your future orders~! ^^

EMS is very reliable shipment method , but again it depends on where you order from and what us the procedure with that store .

Where I live I always have to pay EMS custom charges no matter what. The good thing about that is that my package arrives safe without any damage on it.EMS is the most reliable imo since that's the one I've used since forever.
