so i just got my jotaro nendoroid today, i couldn't be happier!! but unfortunately i made a big oopsie :( as i was trying to switch his normal face plate to the smiling one, i was trying to take off his hat/hair piece first instead of the face plate, afterwards i noticed that i must've smudged the paint somehow, this is terrible!!! i know it's my fault please don't bully but please if you know anyway to fix this, please help!
EDIT: thanks for all of the comments guys, i have contacted GSC and asked for a replacement for this faceplate. i will mark the blog as solved when they either send a replacement or i use the acetone/magic eraser method. again, thank you so much for your help!

EDIT: SOLVED! GSC responded and is sending me a replacement for the face plate, thanks so much everyone!

Hikari-chan1 r. temu#51539906I'm sure they will if they also smear so just try it out, no use having them in the box and not using them, right?
Just be careful, like I said, try one place after the other carefully that it doesn't smear too much if it even happens
And if they do, just tell GSC that you now also tried out the other faceplates and they have the same problem I guess

just checked, no smearing on the other faceplates, all is good! :)

Buta1 r. temu#51539506hmm gsc already responded and said they're sending out a replacement, i'm not sure if they'll accept for all of the faceplates, plus i'm so scared to touch them since i'm nervous they'll smear!

Hikari-chan1 r. temu#51513300No, try out the other faceplates too and take a close look at the figure itself I'd say... because if there are more defects you can also ask GSC to replace those too
Just be careful handling it in case there are really more defects

Sundae1 r. temu#51438716You've already gotten some great advice here, but I just wanted to chime in that if the paint is smudging this badly when you're touching it then it might not have been sealed properly. Best of luck with getting a replacement from GSC!

Kyotohimoyo1 r. temu#51434853The face plate is actually casted in the flesh colour plastic, so you don't need to worry about that at all; all it will do is take of the printed eye smudge.
oh nice!! this is very good to know, thank you very much!

Buta1 r. temu#51434340sounds good! i wouldn't mind using acetone i'm just really nervous to use it on his eye since it might bring up the white paint, but if it's my last option, i'll do it! also yes cellulose thinners do sound too odour filled hahaThe face plate is actually casted in the flesh colour plastic, so you don't need to worry about that at all; all it will do is take of the printed eye smudge.

Kyotohimoyo1 r. temu#51434156When I customise figs, I use acetone to remove paint, so it's really good :D
Another one I use is Cellulose thinners, but I think that will be too odour filled for you lol

Buta1 r. temu#51433795yeah i pre-ordered him the day he was up for it, so this is a huge disappointment, i've already emailed them asking for a replacement for the face paint. and thank you, i'll try the acetone method if they don't send one, hope i don't ruin it more. When I customise figs, I use acetone to remove paint, so it's really good :D
