Hello, Mr. Arigato here!

You may recognize me from over on the Kotobukiya blog. I’m a fan of everything from Marvel movies to video games, but I wouldn’t be where I am without anime! Some recent favorites are The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. and Made in Abyss, and my all time favorite is Cardcaptor Sakura!

I may not be a fresh face at Kotobukiya but I’m new to My Figure Collection! As the event coordinator here, I’ll be popping in from time to time to share event after reports with you all.

Anyways, today I’m here to talk about the latest event we attended: New York Comic Con 2018.

For many people October marks the beginning of fall or Halloween, but for us here at Kotobukiya it’s NYCC month!

Take a look at our beautiful booth:
We finally got an overhead banner! I think it really ties the booth together.
It’s my baby and I’m so proud of it <3

Unfortunately our cases were super reflective so I didn’t get a lot of great pictures of the displays.
This event’s exclusives were the were our limited edition blue Battle Costume Chun-Li BISHOUJO and our kawaii series Superman rubber charm.
Our Pinhead Horror BISHOUJO. So excited for her!
More from our horror series.
We revealed the paint master for Pinkie Pie at our panel on Friday and displayed it in our booth afterwards. Isn’t she adorable?
Newt Scamander. There’s lots of awesome textures and details on this one. Go check out our homepage or social media for some HD shots.
ARTFX+ Scarlet Witch and Vision looking great side-by-side.
ARTFX+ Thanos. He’s so shiny!
We had our Infinity War ARTFX+ Thanos out as well.
Infinity War Iron Spider ARTFX+. Lots of people (myself included) are excited for this one!
Our awesome X-Men ‘92 diorama. Unfortunately this is a display piece and is not for sale. But it makes our ARTFX+ statues look awesome!
Prinz, Never Ending Tea Party, and Sento from Azur Lane.

It was a busy and exciting con for us as we had a lot of events going on at our booth!
Thursday-Saturday, we passed out posters for our new G.I. Joe BISHOUJO.
Baroness is definitely the most popular (and my favorite, although they’re all gorgeous).
We also did our Gara-Gara Giveaway for the second time after San Diego Comic Con!
Thank you to everyone who participated for being patient when the signal was soooooo baaadddd inside the event.
Some of our lucky winners.
On Saturday we had a autograph event with Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono.
We had quite the crowd and it really added to the festivity of the event!
Always happy to see Chun-Li cosplayers.

This year we did not just one, but two panels. First up was the Kotobukiya panel at NYCC on Friday. It was my third time doing a panel and the biggest turnout we’ve had yet with the room almost at capacity.

We talked about the figure making process with step-by-step look at our Black Panther ARTFX+ statue. Getting those insights into the process is one of my favorite parts of working here, and it was great to share it with everyone!

On Sunday we did a panel at a new event, Anime Fest @ NYCC. Here we talked about the making of our ARTFX J Kino statue. As a brand new event, the crowd was smaller than some of the other cons, but we had a nice little audience.

Anyways, that about wraps it up for NYCC! After going as a student back in 2014, I was excited to go back for my job. I have to say it was even more fun this time around! It really flew by.

Now that NYCC is over, we have a while before our next overseas event, but hopefully in the meantime I can share some updates from Japan.
