Hello, I'm back with a few new custom figures after my two previous attempts (BLOG #40015 and BLOG #39999)!
First I tried sculpting Serika from Idolmaster Million Live (ENTRY #53676)! The outfit is her dress from the One For All game (Or at least it was supposed to be).

I forgot to make the bows in her hair...
My next figure was made with another type of clay (Super Sculpey).
It is so much nicer to work with than my old dry and hard clay, I love it! I have to paint it however
The character is Nene Nene from the UTAU software.

Yes, she is a plant :)
The figure is based on her concept art but I didn't always try to make it very accurate.
Even Tokita, the person who designed her, is not always consistent when drawing her anyway

She's far from perfect but I think she turned out pretty cute! :D She's the custom figure I'm the most happy with so far!

She's leaning backwards bit too much...
Next is a character I didn't originally plan to make, but seeing Nene alone on my desk made me want to make her a friend, so I decided to sculpt Nizimine Kakoi
(ENTRY #139635) as these two are often paired together (+ I do like Kakoi very much, I even used to cosplay as her)

It is also loosely based on her concept art.
Her base is a cardboard box because she likes them. Someday I would like to redo it better and maybe turn it into a orange (the fruit) box as that's the second thing she is known to like. But for now it's staying like that because I'm lazy.

I had more trouble painting her than Nene, maybe it's due to her lighter color scheme or maybe I wasn't able able to recreate the right texture for the paint...
I heard that it's better to use thin layers of rather liquid paint but if I did that the paint just wouldn't stick to the clay...And when using thicker paint it makes the brush strokes appear/creates irregularities and stuff...
I didn't use any primer but when searching on the net I see people saying that it is not always needed to use one on Super Sculpey . I might still have to try it out...

And that's it for now~
I'm already working on my next figure but I don't want to flood mfc too much so I'll probably space my articles more from now on ^^

Thank you and good luck for your custom project! :D
Thanks! I just started to sculpt myself so I don't think I'm good enough to make a tutorial yet. I'm still learning basics and playing around myself
But I guess next time I could still post pictures of each step when I'm making a figure ^^
chibikarla (9 mies. temu) #34800419Oh my god, Kakoi and Nene are some of my absolute fave UTAUs, so I really appreciate you sculpting them :')
well done!
Thank you! I'm planning to do even more UTAUs/Vocaloids in the future :)
Lillinettix (9 mies. temu) #34776607Whoa, amazing. You're getting better and better :o
cremareo (9 mies. temu) #34779813these get better and better
Rajke (9 mies. temu) #34779703Looks great. I love the way that you improve by each figure. The expressions on the faces have improved a lot. And a great amount of details. The hands have improved a lot too. You are really talented. :D And i see also more small improvements like the knees on the last figure.
I'm glad to hear that I have noticeably improved! :D It motivates to continue sculpting ^^!
well done!
WHEN THE DAY COMES I WILL SCREAM
