Series With Few or No Figures (Pt. 2)Series With Few or No Figures (Pt. 2)

Howdy doo, everybody. It's time for another poll brought to you by Let's Make It Happen!

The last poll was focused on series which have very little or no officially licensed figures as of now. Due to the sheer number of series added to the first poll and how many others were frequently commented on, we decided we would get more conclusive results with a part two poll narrowing down the list to the most voted and commented series from the first.

Go ahead and submit your vote for the series you want to see your first figures of.

franjandar (1 r. temu) #30582246You missunderstood the reason I made this comment, I made this comment to state what figures no matter what type, already excisted of series mentioned in this poll.
No matter how impossible a figure is to get or how expensive garage kits are they are still figures, no matter how you look at it.
Even if people dislike prize figures and vinyl figures they are still figures, no matter how you look at it.
I mentioned that My Hero Academia and Tokyo Ghoul shouldn't be on this list because they already have plenty of figures compared to other series that have 0 figures.
I am not saying these series don't deserve more figures, I am just saying they have more then plenty of other series that deserve figures as well.

No I understand, but my point is I don't care if 1000 figures are made if only 2 are attainable or if those then are basically crap, then all 1000 are irrelevant to me.

I get what you're saying, but I look at this as "which series has little to no legit scale figures that are available to you". In that interpretation both series apply, as they have very few "figures" (excluding those that I, by my own choice have totally descredited from this list since they are either BS figures (POP, for example) or for some other reason are hard to get, such as very limited figures which now are beyond comparison in price for figures of it's size and quality).

As an example, does it matter if I came out with 200 different figures from a series then only made 1 of each so it was impossible to get? Or made them all 1" tall...? To me that would make all 200 irrelevant....so I totally get you're looking for series with little to no merchandise in the form of ANY shape of figure, regardless of effort to get it as well. But all I'm saying is that I'm looking at this differently, and by my own definition, they both have very few legit figures (and POP are not even in my definition of "figure"), so need more.

I totally agree though, there are plenty of other series that should be on this list...tons. I don't think that means these two should NOT be here though, as I think these and PLENTY of others have far too few figures. Now if someone had listed Vocaloid or Fate on here....I'd agree 1000% it should be removed from the list to make room for others.

No ill feelings or contempt intended here, just a difference in interpretation and opinion..was just stating my own opinion that I supported those two being on this list. Sorry if it came off wrong. :D

Stacycmc (1 r. temu) #30581114I am glad Tokyo is on there, it's the only one I care for figures from, as other than Uta and the one Kaneki (although I think since this original post there is now the centipede one or whatever, which I don't care for), that's all the legit figures that are really offered (I don't even count the other stuff you mentioned, other than the SAS toys, but I want actual figures) ....yet there are a ton of other chars that would make amazing figures. OH...and the doll is like $2 Grand...so while yes it's awesome and I'm thrilled they made it...that is not really realistic for most collectors (at least not me anyway). Add to that the Kaneki statue is friggin hard to find and the price has skyrocketed for the ones you do find (and get ready to pay even MORE if you actually want to see his face).
I also don't think Garage Kits, Prize figures, or POPS even count. Garage Kits are hard as hell to get and can be extremely costly (then you have to friggin put them together), prizes are lacking in quality big time, and I won't touch on POPS...that should be obvious (can we just forget those exist?). To be honest I am primarily interested in seeing scale figures specifically...although not gonna lie, a bunch of Tokyo Ghoul Figmas would be awesome.
Anyway all that to say, disregarding all the types of figures you listed that shouldn't even count (and again, this is just my two cents on the matter)...I think both series you mentioned fit just fine in this list.

franjandar (1 r. temu) #27835313Nice poll as always! Eitherway I'm basically going to keep track of how many figures (of all kinds) each series has (note that if a type of figure is not mentioned the series does not have any figures of that type):
1. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
5 Garage Kits

2. Boku no Hero Academia

2 Nendoroids
2 Figma's (one is just an announchment and has not been released yet)
2 Banpresto DXFs
7 POP vinyls

3. Monster Musume

1 Scale Figure
3 (cancled) Trading figures
19 Garage Kits
4. Ancient Magus Bride
2 Scale figures (that you can buy together in a set)
1 Nendoroid
6 Garage Kits
8 Trading Figures
5. Jitsu wa watashi wa
2 Scale Figures
3 Garage Kits
6. Death Parade
No Figures
7. Pandora Hearts
1 Scale Figure
2 Trading Figures
2 Garage Kits

8. xxxHolic

1 Scale Figure (Note: It's a scale figure of 2 people)
7 Trading Figures
2 Dolls
9. Mob Psycho 100
1 Garage Kit
10. Log Horizon
1 Scale Figure
13 Garage Kits
11. Tokyo Ghoul
3 Dorbs Figures (Note: 1 of those figures is a variant)
2 Pop Vinyls
3 Action Figures
1 Scale Figures
5 Figures (Note: Not prize figure, but not scale either)
2 Charaforms (Note: One is a variant of the other)
1 Doll
4 Prize Figures
Might I add that I don't think that Tokyo Ghould deserves to be on this list, because it has a lot of figures already (same thing is with Boku No Hero Academia which has a lot of figures and there are more incoming).

Beside this poll, i can highly recommend Nagi no Asukara. Its concept is amazing, reminds me Makoto Shinkai's art but this one has the under water theme. The story is not very unique but you can feel the innocence and purity. Also character designs are cute and minimal. The blue color scheme of the concept is so relaxing. I always wondered why this anime doesn't have enough figures or merchandise. Maybe it wasn't popular enough in Japan or overseas.

My vote went to jitsu wa watashi wa/my monster secret. I love monster girls and I was actually torn between jitsu wa watashi wa, monster musume and kobayashi's dragon maid and thought giving the lesser known one a small push would help a tiny bit. Was also contemplating giving my vote to hero academia. Really liking ancient magus bride so far but didn't vote for it because I'm actually expecting to see figures of it at next wonfes as it is very popular but hey you never know.

Ps: demi chan wa kataritai was also an anime that I liked and they only make one character but liked the other series more hence why it isn't listed here

Ps 2: Also hoping for good quality scales of little witch academia (akko, sucy, lotte, diana, amanda, constanse, jasminka, ursula callistes (both appearances) and croix). Recently watched the anime + OVA and movie and was bewitched (no pun intended) by it.

I don't agree with BNHA not beeing on the list. It has 6 figures (POP don't count imo) and those are only 2 diffrent chars while one of the figure is most likely not coming out, that bakugou figma. That makes 5 figures. From a shonen series which has a ton of nice characters and only 2 got a figure.
