Naelyth (3 l. temu) #4699150Wow! Both of your collections are nice! :) I like your Persona shrine! I really like that Margaret/Theo/Elizabeth poster you have, is that one fanart?
This hobby is so niche; it's great when you can find someone else to collect with! ^^ Thanks for sharing!

Yes, it is fan art! We got it in Arizona at a little baby convention that managed to get the musical Trio of Yumi, Shihoko, and Lotus Juice to do some AMAZING concerts earlier this year! We roadtripped out little butts off to go see them and of course all the artist alley was full of Persona things. It was the Best!

Congrats on taking a bold new step and writing your first blog. Its not easy doing the first one but now that you have done it I would say it only gets easier as you go.

I look forward to reading your next one.

Thank you for the comments :3 Perhaps the grass is always greener, cause all I can usually find as far as other collectors in person are Nendoroid collectors! But that can also be because they are more affordable and quite cute, more then pure preference. And yes! All the Persona!

HobbyCentric (3 l. temu) #4699044The only reason I "don't like articulated figures" is primarily the fact I'd end up collecting another genre of figures...I don't need that. As far as the one "issue" with them that I have? The articulation points disrupt the flow of the figures lines. I can live with it but I don't care for it.
You are quite right with the genera. I came for anime figures but ended up right back with Star Wars. God have mercy if they ever make G.I. JOE Figuarts. As for the joints I can see that being a problem. I've grown up with action figures so I'm pretty used to it, but yeah if you're just looking for statics and think a articulated can fill the void it can't. Size and joints really do off-put it.

ZoidsFanatic (3 l. temu) #4697719Not liking articulated figures is quite normal here. In fact liking only articulated figures, like myself, is seen as abnormal. Least that's what I gather from my experience.
Anyway, best bet I can say with blogging is find something you like and just go with it. That tends to suit most people's ideas.
